Accounts Receivable & Payable Specialist – New York, NY

We seek a positive, energetic Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist to be responsible for all aspects of the accounts receivable process, payment processing, and preparing financial reports.

Primary responsibilities will include:

Accounts Receivable:

  • Receive, process, and post incoming payments
  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
  • Reconcile invoices and payments for all accounts
  • Ad hoc financial projects

Accounts Payable:

  • Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
  • Resolve vendor billing questions and concerns using internal and external resources
  • Pay invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, and preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.
  • Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
  • Process/Review expense reports for company employees
  • Audit processes and standard operating procedures – keeping records accurate and aligned with the company’s standards
  • Provide monthly reports and updates on delinquent accounts, and exceptions.
  • Ad hoc financial projects

Job Requirements, Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines

  • Have good judgment and thinking skills
  • Ability to ensure accuracy in job delivery under pressure
  • Ability to properly organize and prioritize tasks
  • Have data entry skills, general math skills, financial software awareness, attention to detail, thoroughness, verbal, and written communication
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of advanced MS Excel functions a plus (formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
  • Knowledge of sage intacct and are a plus

The salary range for this position is $60,000-$80,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offered within that range will depend on the candidate’s experience level.

Work Arrangement

All applicants applying to Gen II Fund Services, LLC must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Please note that all US employees are required to work a hybrid schedule, comprised of two (2) days a week in our office and three (3) days remotely.
