Yekaterina Chmatenko

Enterprise Relationship Manager

 New York, NY

Yekaterina joined the Enterprise Relationship Management Team with Gen II after spending twenty-two years in various roles in the private equity space, both on the fund and fund administration side. Prior to Gen II, Katerina was a senior director and fund CFO at Alpine Grove Partners, a real estate private equity firm based in New York. With Alpine, Katerina was responsible for the financial reporting of multiple international real estate private equity funds. She also spearheaded the firm’s mentoring program and was actively involved in the firm’s Women’s Committee and summer intern program.

Before moving to Alpine, Katerina served as finance director for Cartesian Capital Group, a global growth equity private equity firm. In this role, she oversaw all aspects of reporting for the firm’s flagship funds in addition to the management company reporting, investor relations, payroll, and employee benefits oversight. Before her time with Cartesian, Katerina worked for JP Morgan Private Equity Fund Services, where she oversaw several client relationships and the reporting for one of the firm’s carried interest programs. She credits her extensive knowledge of fund structures, waterfalls, complex allocations, building great teams, and creating impactful client relationships to the experience she gained while at JP Morgan.

Katerina began her career in Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Fund (MSREF) fund controllers group. She holds an MBA with a concentration in accounting, finance, and economics from NYU’s Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in finance and marketing, Summa Cum Laude, from Manhattan College.
