Marlene Pelage

Marlene is a highly accomplished finance executive with over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. She brings deep international expertise and a proven ability to drive performance and growth.

Prior to Gen II, Marlene was the Global CFO of IPG Mediabrands and managed a multi-billion media/advertising agency budget with a footprint across 130 countries. She also held several leadership roles at Charles Schwab, including Chief Financial Officer of Charles Schwab Bank, where she managed billions in bank assets and played a key role in the development of growth strategies and client solutions. Marlene spent her early career with Crédit Agricole Bank, where for more than a decade she held positions in several international locations.

Marlene serves on the President’s Leadership Council at The Asia Foundation, which promotes access to education and financial independence for women across Southeast Asian countries. She is also on the Board Director of NetScout Systems Inc (NTCT), a NASDAQ-listed company that provides service assurance and cybersecurity solutions. She holds a joint MBA degree in Finance and Marketing from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris and Drexel University, a CFA (Certified Financial Analyst) accreditation, and a Series 7 registration. Marlene has also completed the Securities Industry Institute (SII) Executive Education Program with The Wharton Business School.

Anne-Claire Berg

Anne-Claire Berg brings to Gen II over twenty years of HR and business experience from a wide range of industries, including the financial, media, luxury, and food sectors. She is passionate about driving change and impact with and through people.

Anne-Claire’s expertise is aligning strategy, organization, culture, and skills to foster high performance and sustainable growth. She is well known for attracting and developing talents and teams, fostering an inclusive culture of ownership and empowerment, and leading large-scale, complex transformations.

Prior to joining Gen II, Anne-Claire held senior positions at Danone as the global head of culture and engagement, the secretary-general, and the head of intellectual property – in the U.S. and in Europe. Earlier in her career, Anne-Claire co-founded LUXE.TV, the world-wide, leading television network dedicated to luxury and to the art of living. Anne-Claire started her career at King & Spalding LLP in New York. She is a member of the NY Bar and holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from New York University and an Executive MBA from the HEC School of Management.

A recognized thought leader on sustainability and inclusive growth, Anne-Claire is a regular speaker for high-visibility events such as the United Nations WEP Forum (Women Empowerment Principles). She is also a guest lecturer for Harvard University regarding sustainability and leadership. Passionate about joining forces with like-minded peers, Anne-Claire serves various industry, educational, and community organizations, including as a boardmember of the HEC Alumni Committee.

Matt Luongo

Gen II’s Chief Administrative Officer, Matt is responsible for technology, human resources, acquisition integration, and projects. Matt provides both strategic and operational leadership to optimize the company’s organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and employee experience. Matt brings to the firm over twenty-five years of experience leading business functions, implementing and executing change programs, people and operations management, and systems integration in global institutions.

Prior to Gen II, Matt founded MJ Management Solutions, a business management consulting firm, where he led various global projects for Cognizant Technology Solutions, Barclays, Sony, Avon, American Express, and Wachovia. Matt has also held executive roles at CLS Bank, Cognizant Technology Solutions, UBS, and American Express.

Matt received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master of Business Administration from Pace University. His philanthropic endeavors include board positions with Pace University Lubin School of Business Alumni Committee and DREAM, a non-profit organization that supports inner-city youth in East Harlem, the South Bronx/Newark.

Ishita Shah

As Gen II’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ishi oversees the firm’s commercial strategy through new business development, marketing, and the management of key client relationships. Understanding that both people and technology are critical to the success of the business, Ishi will also take up numerous collaborative initiatives with Gen II product development and client service teams to enhance the firm’s dedicated service model.

Prior to Gen II, Ishi created tailored business models for private equity clients and their investors. She served as Citco’s division head for their private equity business in North America and Asia. Ishi began her journey in private equity through JP Morgan Partners, where she worked as a liaison between the finance and deal teams supporting valuations, carried interest calculations, and reviewing financial metrics. Ishi holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from Hofstra University.

Robert Caporale

A seasoned fund administration and alternative investments executive with over three decades of experience, Robert joined Gen II in 2020 and oversees Gen II’s key products: tax, management company, Sensr®, the firm’s proprietary analytics and performance tool, and the Gen II LP Portal. Robert’s role unifies Gen II’s strategic solutions and accelerates the firm’s leadership in digitizing the private equity environment.

Prior to Gen II, Robert was CEO of Exchangelodge, a SaaS company that provides mission-critical data management solutions to the alternative investment industry.

Robert also spent twelve years at JP Morgan, where he held various senior positions within the Securities and Fund Services division, including head of U.S. sales; head of alternative investment services; CEO and founder of private equity fund services; and head of corporate development. Robert also spent six years at Deutsche Bank and eight years at IBM. Marking his contributions within the private equity industry, Robert was inducted into the 2013 Global Custodian Hall of Fame. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University and his Master of Business Administration from NYU’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

Raj Gidvani

With Gen II Fund Services, LLC since 2015, Raj has twenty-two years of experience as a versatile technology and strategy executive, with responsibilities that include application development architecture, infrastructure, and support. Experienced in executing initiatives to accelerate revenue growth and client acquisition, Raj has built a stellar track record of delivering innovative “industry first solutions” that firmly establish Gen II in the pole position among private equity service administrators. Raj is a thought leader and frequently speaks at industry forums, serving as a trusted counsel to Gen II clients and their investors.

Prior to Gen II, Raj held senior positions with increasing responsibilities: Citigroup, BISYS Group, Siemens, and GTE. Within the financial and insurance industries, he led architecture design and implementation for companies in the e-commerce space. Raj holds a Master of Science degree in computer science from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and a Bachelor of Science in electronic engineering from the University of Bombay, India. Raj was awarded membershipto Upsilon Pi Epsilon, the international honor society for the computing sciences.

Thomas Ségal

Thomas is the Chief Legal Officer for the Gen II Group and has over 15 years of experience in the private equity industry. He is a member of the Global Executive Management team with overall responsibility for the Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Privacy functions.

Prior to joining Gen II, Thomas served as deputy general counsel for Quilvest Private Equity. He also served as a partner for Garson, Segal, Steinmetz, Fladgate LLP in New York. Thomas is a graduate of Paris X University and holds an LL.M. from Cardozo Law School (New York). He is licensed to practice law in New York, Paris, and Luxembourg.

Michael Johnson

Michael joined Gen II from his role as Chief Commercial Officer from Crestbridge where he was responsible for continuing to grow and evolve the business’s overall funds proposition.

With more than 20 years’ experience in international financial services, Michael was previously Head of Fund Services in the Channel Islands for a large global administrator and was instrumental in developing the firm’s funds strategy.

Michael is a qualified person to act as a director of regulated entities and has experience in this role on boards across the alternative asset classes but primarily in Debt, VC, Growth, Buy-Out, Real Assets, Fund-of-Funds, and Life Sciences. He is Chair of the Jersey Funds Association and a Chartered Accountant.

Dean Hodcroft

Dean joined Gen II from Crestbridge where he has led the Crestbridge Group as Chief Executive Officer since 2021 when he took responsibility for providing strategic leadership of the business.

Prior to joining Crestbridge, Dean spent six years as a founding partner at leading real estate investment and finance firm, Cale Street Partners LLP. Before this, he spent 26 years with Ernst & Young in London, making partner in 2001, and went on to lead their EMEIA Real Estate, Hospitality & Construction team.

Dean is a Law graduate and a Chartered Tax Adviser.
